I took a trip into H&M last week on a mission to spend my Christmas money and I am pleased to say that I succeeded!
After a bit of a January wardrobe clear out (it’s got to be done) I was looking to pick up a couple of staple basics to help fill in the gaps.
Firstly, I picked up this blue and white pinstripe shirt which was only £14.99, a real bargain for such a wardrobe must have! I think that the loose fit is really flattering when teamed with a pair of black skinny jeans.
I also picked out this hooded jacket/cardigan which is so amazing and soft! Due to the fabric I think it looks a tad more dressy than your standard hoody so looks really nice when teamed with jeans and a cami top.
Finally, I had been on the look out for this checked shirt, I already have the green version but I thought the cream would be a nice, more neutral alternative. I ended up having to plump for a size 14 as it was the smallest they had left but I think it quite suits being a more baggy, oversized fit!
I’m slowly attempting to go back to basics with my wardrobe and build up some key pieces which will be more timeless and can be easily interchangeable.
