So I was 100% correct when I said I would leave finding an outfit to the very last minute in my Wedding Guest Inspiration post but I got there in the end thankfully and it was a really lovely day!

I had been admiring this dress from ASOS for weeks but it was always out of stock whenever I checked until low and behold the night before I went on holiday one appeared on the website in my size. I quickly snapped it up and just had to hope that I liked it when I returned from holiday as there would be no time to find a replacement! Luckily when I tried it on I loved it, the embroidery detail is amazing and I love the cut out detail on the back. It was quite a splurge item for me but I definitely think that it is going to be a dress that I can wear time and time again!

As it is a relatively summery dress I decided to go quite simple and get matching tan coloured shoes and clutch bag (if you can actually even class it as a clutch – I managed to fit everything but the kitchen sink in there). The heels were a decent height to give me a little boost but were also relatively comfortable to wear all day so proved to be a very good last minute purchase!

I also thought that I would include Adams outfit as he was looking particularly smart! I am a massive fan of these navy spotty trousers from Zara which he paired with a Farrah Oxford shirt, navy tie and brown brogues.

This is also the debut of my new hair on the blog! I made quite an out of the blue decision to have my hair cut and coloured after I had grown quite bored of it! The ends were looking a little sorry for themselves after not taking a trip to a hairdressers in over tree years (oops) and I was just looking for a bit of a change! I ended up having quite a bit taken off the length (perhaps a tad more than I had expected) and I also had the ends dip dyed to add a bit of variation colour wise. It’s going to take a bit of getting used to as it is quite the change but it has reduced my getting ready time significantly so that can only be a good thing!
