Wedding Guest Outfit Inspiration

1. Miss Selfridge   2. Topshop   3. Asos   4. Whistles

I’ve been invited to a wedding which is fast approaching – it’s in September so I’ve started having a look around for some possible outfits to hopefully avoid last minute panic buying (which inevitably alwayssss happens!) I wanted to go for something relatively simple and elegant which I could hopefully, fingers crossed, wear again. I must say though that I really have struggled to find something that I both like and is wedding appropriate, one dress has already been bought and returned to Asos which wasn’t the best start!

I love the shape and style of this floral number from Miss Selfridge (which has now helpfully disappeared from the website), I think it looks quite classic and has just the touch of colour that I need!

Whilst browsing Topshop’s website I came this playsuit which could actually be confused as being a dress. I like the overall simplicity of it but think that the beading detail makes it seem special enough to be worn to a more formal occasion.

I’m pretty much known for my large sized clutch bags, so this nude one from Asos lives up to the reputation! It would be the perfect size for popping in all of my essentials for the day!

Oh look, here it is again – the famous Whistles clutch bag, but this time in a beautiful blue colour. One day I will just bite the bullet and purchase one…one day!

When it came to shoes despite hours spent trawling through various websites I actually failed to find even one pair that I liked. In my mind I’m looking for a very simple nude heeled sandal with a slightly more block heel – so if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be greattt!

I’ll probably be popping up an outfit post next month featuring the chosen outfit so keep your eyes peeled for that to see what I end up choosing!
