When it comes to beauty products I must admit that I’m a bit of a creature of habit, over the years I feel like I’ve managed to discover my everyday staples and I tend to stay pretty loyal to them. The majority of the time I simply end up re-purchasing the same products over and over again because I’m scared to stray too far away from my trusty old favourites. It takes a real solid recommendation to get me to step out of my comfort zone so when Cohorted got in touch and asked if I’d like to receive their March beauty box* I thought it was the perfect time to try out something new.
Arriving perfectly packaged the box consists of a variety of high end products, none of which I had tried out before. The value for money is clear, six beauty products served up for a fraction of the retail cost and all delivered straight to your door, I could definitely get used to receiving such a special delivery and it certainly brightened up my day!
So on to the products, the item I was most excited to try out was the Urban Decay Naked Skin Bronzing Beauty Balm, a luxurious BB cream which adds a subtle warm glow to your complexion. I’m allllll about the bronzed look so this was a pretty perfect fit for me. I’m really looking forward to wearing this more regularly once summer rolls around I start ditching the heavy foundation in favour of something a little lighter.
Next up was the Bella Pierre Cosmetics Gel Lip Liner in Cinnamon which looks like a great everyday shade so I’m looking forward to giving it a go.
Aren’t eyelash curlers one of those things that just always seem to go missing, or is that just me? In any case, I won’t be misplacing these Vintage Company Rose Gold Eyelash Curlers as they’re just so pretty! I tend to miss out this step in my makeup routine but since giving these babies a try I might just have to find those two extra minutes in the morning as they really do make all the difference!
I really love a good neutral eyeshadow palette so this one from Pur minerals is just perfect for me! The Secret Crush palette consists of eight nude shimmers and velvety satins which are pretty well suited for everyday wear or maybe even going slightly heavier with for more of an evening look. The rose gold packaging is gorgeous and plus there’s the added bonus of the mirror within the palette too which can be a real life saver!
When it comes to hair care you could probably call me neglectful, I shampoo and condition my hair pretty much daily but other than that I might pop on some of the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer once and week and that my friends is my hair routine…With that in mind this Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5 in 1 Styling Treatment is going to be a life saver for me. It styles and treats in one go meaning minimal effort and that’s something I can always get on board with!
Finally, there was a sample size of the Lancome Absolue Yeux thrown in for good measure, I’ve pretty much exclusively used the Origins Gizing Eye cream for the past couple of years so I’m looking forward to giving something new a try, especially if it can do anything about these suitcases under my eyes!
Overall I was really impressed with the Cohorted Beauty Box and the products it contained, none of the items were ones that I’ve tried before or even picked out to look at but that being said it’s always good to try something new and you never know, these could end up being some of my new favourite products!
Are you a fan of beauty boxes? Have you tried out any of these products before? Which are your favourites?
