5 Highlights From the Week

Good morning and happy Monday all!

I hope you had a lovely weekend and feel recharged and raring to go this week, I’m looking forward to getting stuck into a new week and throwing myself head first into my gym and blogging routine. But back to last week, here’s five moments that brightened up my days!

Leaving work when it was still light

I leave work slightly earlier on a Friday afternoon and last week I managed to catch the amazing sunset over the town hall which you can see in the photo above. It was absolutely gorgeous and I already can’t wait for light evenings to roll around, hurry up summer!

Meeting Brian the Puppy

On Saturday morning I got to meet my friend’s families new puppy which was 100% the best way to kick off a weekend and if someone could arrange for me to do that every week please that would be amazing. He’s a little pug called Brian (best name ever) and he was the softest little guy ever and was very generous handing out his puppy cuddles!

Trying out new places

On Saturday night we went out for a meal with Adam’s family to catch up which was lovely, we headed to Loch Fyne which wouldn’t be my usual choice as I’m not the biggest fish fan in the world but I gave it a go and tried the swordfish which was very tasty. Afterwards we ventured to a bar that none of us had been to before called The Last Chance Saloon, it had a really chilled vibe making it the perfect place to have a drink and a natter!

Enjoying breakfast in bed

To me, there’s absolutely nothing better on a weekend morning than enjoying a little bit of a lie in and breakfast in bed! On Sunday I treated myself to an almond croissant (my number 1 favourite) along with a caramel latte, delightful! I caught up on some blog reading and some YouTube watching before getting up and ready for the day.

A chilled Sunday evening

Last night wasn’t a particularly eventful one but one that I really enjoyed. After getting home from Sunday dinner at Adam’s families house I got into my comfies, lit some candles, jumped into bed and had a big old YouTube binge. It was really nice to have chilled time alone to get ready for the new week ahead, sometimes I just feel like I need to recharge my batteries so that’s exactly what I did!

What have some of your highlights from the week been? I’d love to hear!
