I’ve been meaning to go down to Kelham Island to see some of it’s latest foodie additions for a while now so this weekend whilst in Sheffield we decided to pop down for lunch to Craft & Dough to check it out!
I really love the atmosphere and feel of Kelham Island with the industrial style buildings and architecture and Craft & Dough fits right into that with its subway tiled walls and rustic wooden tables. It was a lovely place to spend a chilled afternoon grabbing a bite to eat.
It was a sunny Spring day so we both decided to push the boat out (crazy) and have an alcoholic beverage with our meal, Adam chose a James Boag’s lager and I plumped for a fruity cider.
I decided to play it pretty safe (maybe even a tad boring) and went for a Margherita pizza with an extra topping of mushrooms whilst Adam went for the Yorkshire Goats Cheese and Henderson’s relish. I was super impressed with the size of the pizzas, especially considering that mine was only a modest £4.50! I actually didn’t manage to finish it but that was no reflection on the pizza itself which was super tasty!
I would definitely go back to Craft & Dough and would perhaps be a little more adventurous with my pizza choice next time! I also really want to try out Urban 1/4 which is just a stones throw down the street so that is definitely on the bucket list for next time we are down that neck of the woods!
