I love ‘coffee table books’ as they are just such a nice thing to have to flick through at your leisure and admire all of the pretty pictures. It’s become quite a tradition to get a couple of new ones every Birthday/Christmas as they make a really nice gift. These are just some of my favourites…
The Hummingbird Bakery Cake Days is full to the brim of amazing recipes that leave you drooling as you turn each page. This is a must have for anyone with a sweet tooth and there are so many recipes I’m still yet to attempt!
The Vintage Tea Party Year has an amazing cover and equally interesting and exciting content. If you ever want to throw a party this is the book to consult when it comes to the food! It has everything from sweet treats to savoury nibbles to exciting cocktails. I only wish I threw regular extravagant shindigs..
I’m a fan of watching Kirstie Allsop’s interior programes so naturally I started collecting the books too. Kirstie’s Homemade Home and Kirstie’s Vintage Home are full of crafty projects which are taken directly from the programmes.
The Selby is in Your Place is one of my absolute favourite interior books. I love the photography teamed with the layout and the stories from the individuals. It gives you the chance to look at real interiors from creative individuals so it suits my nosey nature!
My Birthday is coming up pretty soon so I guess I had better get thinking of some new books to add to the collection!
